As i have been drawing for a while i decided i needed to take a change of direction and stumbled upon doing some collage with papers i painted and then cut into shapes.
I love the shape of hyacinths and took their shape but made them more abstracted. The outcome of brightly coloured shapes makes them fun and vibrant.
My collage 'Sweetie Flower' was based on the shape of a dandelion. However it turned into something else when i began adding origami paper, the small circles around the dandelion head look like sweeties! The pink of the background with the green stems really lift the collage and make it uplifting to look at!
These 3 collages are one-off pieces of work, which i am selling at a very reasonable price, so everyone can afford a piece of original artwork!
Early next week i hope to have my new framed drawings up online and for sale, so please check back for the new arrivals. As you can see, to make things easier and with new technology i am now selling all my goods on one shop page, as i hope it is easier to find everything! Before it was a bit jumbled up and complicated.
I hope you like my new work and drop me a line on: mail@hannacottrelldesigns.com with any comments, commissions or projects you might like to use me for!

Other exciting news is that my camera illustration for Fenchurch has now been used and produced on a rain jacket.
I am very proud and have included photos from www.scenepreston.com where the jacket is available
